Give original art for christmas

One of the nicest and most thoughtful Christmas gifts you can give to friends or family is the gift of original art.  But I realize that original art can be expensive.  It is a treat, therefore, to attend events where you can find affordable works of original art.  I am participating in two such events and I recommend them both as occasions to see good art and perhaps do a bit of Christmas shopping for those special people on your list.  I will be showing water colour woodblock prints, but there will be many artists participating and a wide variety of works that can tempt you.

The John B. Aird's Mistletoe Magic Event happens on December 1, starting at 6 pm.  Lots of art by well-known artists.  Silent auction.  Food and drink.  Lots of fun.  Great opportunities to indulge while supporting one of Toronto's great art spaces.

The Alton Mill Art Centre is holding its Holiday show and sale "Artful Giving" from Nov. 16 - Jan. 8, 2017.  The reception is  on Saturday, November, 19 from 1 - 4 pm.   Always worth the drive out to Alton.
