The OSA - Open Juried Exhibition (the 142nd) is being held at the John B. Aird Gallery from April 7 to May 1, with the opening reception on Thursday April 9. It promises to be a beautiful show. Come out to support the artists who belong to the oldest artist society in Canada!
I am pleased to have had my new work "Ring of Brodgar" (triptych oil on canvas 48 x 48") accepted into the 2015 Beaux-Arts Brampton Open Juried Show. The piece is inspired by last year's visit to the Orkney Islands. The exhibition runs from March 31 - April 18, 2015 at Beaux-Arts Brampton.
I will also be exhibiting my abstract tapestry, "Dance Me Round" (shown below) at the Colour and Form Society's exhibition, "Simply Colour and Form" which will be held at the Holcim Gallery, Milton Centre for the Arts from April 1 - 25, 2015.
My only question now is which opening to attend. The BAB Juried Show opening, the CFS exhibition opening and the Arta Gallery show have opening receptions on the evening of April 2. One in Brampton, one in Milton and the other in downtown Toronto - all at the same time. What to do?
What to do? Rather a nice problem to have...
I am really pleased with my show, "The Lotus Position". The opening on March 7 was great, and it was good to see so many people there. I always the appreciate the support of my fans, friends and family. There were a number of sales - which is always wonderful. But mostly there was lots of good company.
There have been quite a few visitors on the days I was sitting the gallery, and I even had an interview with a reporter from the Caledon Enterprise.
The show is on until April 4 (the Saturday before Easter); unfortunately, the gallery is not open Easter Sunday.
